Hello vgchartz...peoples, I'm kinda new here and I was wondering if you guys knew any good places where I could find this Wii console. I'm currently looking it up on eBAY and I won an auction for a used Wii for $270. Nothing too fancy, just everything you would get if you were to buy a new one. I know that's a bit too much for a USED Wii but its the only option I have. I haven't paid for it yet, but I just might and the only thing keeping me from buying it is the fact that I can't contact him.

You wanna have mine?!... You can have it... Cuzz the line-up sucks except for some games from Nintendo and some 3th party devs who don't know the term CASUAL / End sarcasm... (Btw: IT wasn't all sarcasm... But i don't intend to sell my Wii.... YET!)

you seems to be a little bit angry, just when the games starts to arrive...

Buy it and pray to the gods of Sigs: Naznatips!

I would rather chop of my right arm than pay more than retail for a used console. Be patient and buy the Wii whenever you find one in a store. That way you keep gouging Aholes like that guy from Ebay out of business and you don't have to feel like you just got raped. Either way you will be happier with your purchase.

^^^ Thanks.

I bought mine at best buy ..... ask the customer service desk they like to hide the wii there and not display them sometimes. They had like 15 wii behind customer counter where I bought mine and none at the display area.

Well, there are a few things that sellers will not answer to you, such as asking him/her the following questions after you win:
"Can you give me a discount?"
"Can I do local pickup" (even tho the auction says no local pickup)
"Can I pay you by check" (even tho there's only one specified payment)
etc.

If the seller has high rating and barely or no negatives, then normally it's okay to pay. With paypal, u can alwasy pay by credit card and if anything happens, dispute with credit card company cuz paypal won't do shxt.

If the seller's ratings are over 1000 and has tons of stuff to say, most likely seller is busy and expects payment within a certain number of days, most likely stated already in the auction.

If seller rating is 0 or less than 5, or tons of negative, then u'd better be careful.

Currently loving my Wii x2, Xbox 360 Pro & Xbox 360 Arcade, and Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children Limited "Cloud Black" 160GB PS3

GAMEFLY & GOOZEX FTW

For the first time since launch, my local eb games had 20 in stock for 2 days. Well, the initial 20 lasted two days. So i would say keep checking your local game shops.

Also, I think that it is wrong for you to win the auction and then not pay. You need to hold up your end of the deal and just resell the used one if it really bothers you.

If the seller doesn't contact you, it would be foolish to just pay. What if it's a scam account? Through ebay, you can obtain the seller's information (phone number) and contact him/her. You should always check feedback and you should always contact the seller before you bid, during the bid, AND after the auction is over to ensure a safe and smooth transaction. If something feels wrong, it usually is.

I was in the exact same situation except I found 6 Wiis at the Best Buy in the town where I work just like two days after I won the auction. I ended up paying $350 total with shipping but I went ahead with the auction. But don't think 6 "REAL LIVE" Wiis weren't haunting me from the shelves at Best Buy for the whole day or two they were there. And the week I had to wait for it to get shipped :)
