it's obvious that everyone who likes 360 will pick gears of war 2 while PS3 fans pick Killzone 2. Lets take it in each catagory

Characters: Gears
Background: Killzone 2
Motion: Killzone 2 (barely)
Blood: ...without blood there would be no gears of war
Texture: Killzone 2
Engine: Unreal 3 is really good but whatever killzone 2 uses is better.

Overall i think Killzone 2 has better graphics, but i think Gears of War 2 is a better GAME

Gears 2 has better textures and geometry, Killzone 2 has better lighting and effects.

Xbox Gamertag: BrapRedHarvest PSN ID: Brap123

If you have played the demo, its like 7 min long, MAX.

But anyways, the pictures of gears of war 2 has clearly been polished, you can tell. When i play it its actually FAR from that "clear", and with the picture resolution so small it makes the game look better. Sony bravia 42" full hd if you think im sitting infront a 17" crt.  Turn on killzone 2, look at the scenery, its amazing. The characters also look more "real life" in killzone 2, wich is a + in my book. Sorta "cartonish" look in gow2 (IMHO!). But in my eyes they are both worth the money, 2x good games. And gt5..no point in even comparing that game to anything out at the moment, its mindblowing in every aspect.

2 reasons for 360 sales.

Cheap arcade version, wich the mom buys for the kids.

And microsoft's wallet.

in my opinion i give the nudges to gears but then again i base my judgment on more then just the amount of polygons and such

to me graphics =art design , polygon count, textures, lighting, and random details

with art style being far grater then the other ones

but then again i am one of those people that think, if your trying to make something look real and you come close but don't grab it all i can then see are the flaws

but its all a moot point b/c the wii has the best looking game yet to come

(and i know many people agree with me that a great game does not have to try to look real to be the best graphics!)

Man this game is so amazing : I can't beleive it's coming to the wii !?!?!?!?

This is an invalid comparison. You cant compare all thoes games which are complete and most of them released next to a game thats still in its pre alpha stages.

Did you even look at the pictures makingmusic posted?  Killzone 2 has much better character models, but I'll give the edge to Gears of War for textures.  Killzone 2 also beats Gears of War in terms of particle effects and lighting.  I mean, the game looks so damn good.

But it's hard to compare a TPS and a FPS.  In a FPS you get much closer views of the characters as well as needing to render and animate a POV gun model.  Which means that for every gun in the game, you need to have 2 models (one the POV model and one the world model).  That just adds to the workload and memory requirements of the game.  It might not be a huge difference, but there IS a difference between TPS and FPS.

Look at the 2 pictures that makingmusic posted.  The Gears of War model looks terrible upclose compared to the Killzone 2 model.  BUT you don't ever see the Gears of War 2 model that close because it's a TPS so there's no need to add any more detail to it than it already has.

wow when i look back at these pics I realize how much beter the ps360 look than the wii...

Well, The Wii can only display 480p, if Nintendo made the Wii to play at least 720p the Wii would be the same.

GT5/KZ2 are the best
