Forums - Gaming - I need your help regarding these games

There are a lot of games for cheap around here, and I plan to buy the following games:

Alien Syndrome (Wii) €10
I know this is a pretty crappy game, but my girlfriend and I like to play games together and we love Gauntlet Legends. This seems like a space/RPG version of that, and for €10... What to do?

Ratchet & Clank Quest for Booty (PS3) €15
Ratchet & Clank is a pretty good franchise, although I'm not too fond of the games and this seems to be a weaker entry in the series. Still, it's quality and only €15. I could use a new platformer and tend to like short games.

Manhunt 2 (Wii) €20
Has anyone played this game? I don't expect much from it, but €20 isn't much and I could probably sell it for €10 when I finish it. But is it worth my time?

Cocoto Magic Circus + Gun (Wii) €25
Yes, this is your basic shovelware, but the gun included is similar to the Nyko Perfect Shot which is €25 without a game. I really need a gun for my arcade shooters, and I could sell the crappy game for 5-10 euro so it should be a pretty good deal.

Anyone here have any experience with these games? I plan to buy them all tomorrow, but if I shouldn't do it, please tell me!

Alien Syndrome, despite what everyone says, is actually a lot of fun if you like games like Baldur's Gate: DA and other, Snowblind-style, games (which, it seems, you do). Yeah, it's super ugly (thank you PSP-to-Wii port), but for that little cash it's a no-brainer.

Ratchet & Clank is really hard to go wrong with and, again, that's pretty damn cheap and the game is quite fun assuming you enjoyed their more full-featured exploits.

I'd skip Manhunt 2--it mostly sucks (but, then again, I didn't care for the first one so take that with a grain of salt).

As for Cocoto, I know literally nothing about it other than what you've posted here, so I can't help ya.

I cant speak on the other titles but the R&C Q4B games is really good, just a little short. But for the money I cant complain. It had some new features that I hope they implement in the full games.

Buy Ratchet & Clank, it is just a more platforming focused version of Tools of Destruction and a little shorter. It does lack some of the firepower of the full game, but it is still great fun, and certainly worth the cost of admission

Manhunt 2 sucked in my opinion. On the Wii the executions are the most heavily censored, and the controls for them is just pausing the kill to do one gesture over and over again to continue the animation. The general walking around controls stink as well. Cursor is kind of sloppy for shooting, and twisting the nunchuck causes your character to lean which stops him from walking. The storyline is paper thin, and has to be heavily padded to fill the game's measly eight hours of playtime.

Unless you're really hard up for some brutallity, I wouldn't touch it. Something like the Godfather does such a better job with motion-controlled murder, even it does lack the splatter factor.

Alright, I didn't buy Manhunt 2 and Quest for Booty (got Tools of Destruction instead, for only €20).

First impression of Alien Syndrome isn't very good, but it might improve. Ratchet and Clank is fun. The Cocoto shovelware game is surprisingly enjoyable with 2 players.

Thanks for the advice peoples.
