Um. You can think somebody is a complete douche bag and enjoy their games. If that weren't the case, I probably wouldn't buy any gaming systems considering that there is at least 1 major person from each company that's a complete douche.

 

I'm referring to whether or not Valve is "lazy" or if they are just "small". because I'm pretty sure the problem is that they are small.

Um. You can think somebody is a complete douche bag and enjoy their games. If that weren't the case, I probably wouldn't buy any gaming systems considering that there is at least 1 major person from each company that's a complete douche.

The simple fact is this, people don't like change. Developers don't like it right now because it's different. It's harder in the short term. Newell wants to port games straight from PC to all the consoles seamlessly with no effort or work.

Sony went in a different direction. Other developers have had wild success with the PS3 in game play and graphics. Why can't Valve? They can. They just don't like change or working differently than they have.

Gabe Newell just looks lazy..i dont blame his fat @$$ lol. He's probably just really upset and jealous that there are other great devs out there that do know how to make wonderful games for the PS3. Well seeing how he's been making mostly PC games i can see he just wants to stay nearest to the PC side as possible. Even the devs that created the crappiest PS3 game is better than him cuz at least they tried instead of just trash talkin.

I'm trying to come to terms with the idea that

1. Valve doesn't like change and

2. Gabe Newell is a Microsoft fanboy

I am trying, but my brain is attempting to eat itself every time I do so.

EA publishes Valve games.

They're also behind The Orange Box port if I remember correctly.

Right, but that means that a lack of ports to the PS3 is on EA. It doesn't make Valve lazy. Valve is just small, and does not have the man power to do that. It's the same reason they don't have any announced Wii projects: they can't spare the people.

I'm sure he's especially jealous of watching dev after dev drop like flies while Valve's stock continues to rise. Poor fellow.
