Another video for you guys, this time shown playing Crysis. The speakers are turned down so you can hear the effects of the vibrations and fans. I thought it was cool when the gun is fired and how the fans began blowing towards the layer when he began running with his character. The lighting effects are also really good, especially when firing the gun.

Nice Vid Euphoria

Oh there was already a thread...
If you’re a gamer, the virtual world reaches out from your screen. You feel the action: the movement of vehicles, shifts in lighting, rumbling explosions, ricocheting bullets, wind in your face. The mix of ambient lighting, vision, sound and tactile sensations mean the gaming experience will never be the same.

Here you can find some pics:

It sounds cool in theory, and it'd be awesome if your whole room would rumble, and if there were big fans and whatnot, but after looking at the actual setup of amBX, I have to say that looks really laughable. Those fans were soooooooo small. :P

How do the lights work?

Well at this point, screw realism. I want a ****ing rave in my room when I'm playing videogames! Yeeeeeaaaaahhhhhh!!

Uhh... it is a PC setup. How big you expect it to be when you sit with it right in front of your face?

We have no idea what the home theatre setups will look like, because supposedly movie studios are going to be using this by the end of 2009.

I had invisioned something huge and amazing when I first read this. When you guys started giving this so much praise, and started talking about 4d gaming, my imagination went through the roof. I probably wouldn't dare to be seen playing with the actual real setup now that I've seen it. :P

Someday though, it'll be awesome. I guess I'll need an entire room dedicated to an immersive video game setup. :P

No need to just play games while using it, this is pretty much an extended version of the IMAX experience you get at an IMAX theatre, only with lights and wind. With movie studios set to hop onto this I would love an "IMAX" type setup in my living room.

That is what I would want it for most.

Well after seeing the video, I'm not hyped anymore lol. Honestly, 300$ for that, that's way too much! I was hoping for something more impressive!
