Well, I can't see the link between this technology and gaming ...

well think about it this way.   You are paying the desert level in Killzone 2,  and a gust of wind whips though the level.  One of the peripherals will actually create wind in your room to make it feel like you are actually part of the game.

So Sony wasn't lying about 4D? ZOMG ! Next stop! Smell Killzone 3!

Well you already got yourself 2 jobs in order to grab a PS3, a 3rd is no big deal.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

the ps3 is in a way laying the foundation for a monster which will be known as teh PS4

Even were it not horribly expensive, this doesn't sound like something I'd actually want in my house. Sure, it sounds good on paper, but in practice any device that creates wind inside your house can create problems (I don't want my homework flying around because I forgot about it when I went to play some games, let alone my MTG card collection) and having lights on your wall does virtually nothing. I don't even notice that there are walls when I'm playing games, let alone what color they are, because to me gaming is about playing games rather than looking at scenery (which one could do outside). It's not worth the price of an entire console, to me, just to add things I'm not going to notice (or like, in the case of the air), especially when it makes the act of gaming itself (hello electricity bill!) more expensive than it already is. That's why I don't really give a damn about HD consoles though, so to each their own.

You do not have the right to never be offended.

I think you completely missed the point, and I am trying to figure out why you bothered posting.  The extra lights on your wall could do things like bring explosion or lightning effects closer to real life.  The wind machine, not a big of a problem as you say cause I keep things picked up around my house,  would just be an added effect,  not a toronado whipping though your house.  And if all you are doing is playing the games and not noticing the scenery and getting immersed in the game,  I think you are missing out on one of the great aspects of video games.  Getting lost in them.

hahaha you bus me jokes man. erm i hope this wont include puping. i wonder what it will cost. Sony always find a way to differentiate themselves from the comp.

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

Big deal, the XBox 360 has had rumble in its controller from day one, and don't forget the immersive airflow effects of a Jet Airplane in perpetual motion.  Plus it has shown some immersive use of colored lights too, three red ones.
