Sure, it sounds good on paper, but in practice any device that creates wind inside your house can create problems (I don't want my homework flying around because I forgot about it when I went to play some games, let alone my MTG card collection) and having lights on your wall does virtually nothing. I don't even notice that there are walls when I'm playing games, let alone what color they are, because to me gaming is about playing games rather than looking at scenery (which one could do outside). It's not worth the price of an entire console, to me, just to add things I'm not going to notice (or like, in the case of the air), especially when it makes the act of gaming itself (hello electricity bill!) more expensive than it already is. That's why I don't really give a damn about HD consoles though, so to each their own. |
I think you completely missed the point, and I am trying to figure out why you bothered posting. The extra lights on your wall could do things like bring explosion or lightning effects closer to real life. The wind machine, not a big of a problem as you say cause I keep things picked up around my house, would just be an added effect, not a toronado whipping though your house. And if all you are doing is playing the games and not noticing the scenery and getting immersed in the game, I think you are missing out on one of the great aspects of video games. Getting lost in them.
