I'm worried, mainly because of Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop.

If they want to bring more core games to the Wii, fine, I'm all for that, but give us new games built for the Wii. All they are going to do with Dead Rising Wii is give us a version that looks nothing like the PS3/360 versions and probably sacrifices other things as well.

One is EA, the other is Capcom. What?

And yeah, Dead Rising is looking mightily crappy. I bet they only have interns working on it, I can't explain the videos I've seen in any other way.

Or it could be that's really the best the Wii can do with this scale. I'm actually going to address that in another thread. And the team are not interns. They are Capcom veterans, who've worked on plenty of games.

I'm pretty sure the Wii can handle non-broken animations and graphics at least at the level RE4 for the GC, neither of which Dead Rising has (not even close).

RE4 is a linear game, that never had more than 2 dozen enemies at one time. Dead Rising has massive areas with the Wii version having several dozen zombies in one area, even if not hundreds (unless you think the shots with floods of zombies on screen were faked). If the game used two to three times the resources of RE4, as the Wii has over the GC, then the game would look like RE4 easily.

It doesn't. It uses several times the resources.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

So we agree that it's not using the Wii's resources?

Just the fact that they published a video with broken animations tells me that they don't care enough to make a good game. I'll still be waiting to see how the final game plays and looks, but I have practically no hopes for Dead Rising any longer. A few months ago we were hoping they'd fix the graphics, which doesn't seem to have happened.

Then what did you mean by saying it could look like RE4 but it doesn't?

"Then what did you mean by saying it couldn't look like RE4, and that is why it doesn't?"

Fixed. THAT is my point. Read my comment PROPERLY to see why.

I suggest you read your comment yourself. You clearly say it could look like RE4 if it used 2-3 times the resources RE4 uses. Then you said the Wii has those resources.

You are aware RE4 is equal or almost equal on both consoles, aren't you?

Anyway, even if we ignore the RE4 thing the game still looks like a poor effort with animation bugs in the latest videos.

No, I did not.

"If the game used two to three times the resources of RE4, as the Wii has over the GC, then the game would look like RE4 easily.

It doesn't. It uses several times the resources."

Did you think the "It" in the second sentence meant the Wii? Try again.

Dead Rising is a B team project and budget. RE4 was an A team project and budget.

There is the difference.

The rEVOLution is not being televised

So you're saying the Wii does not have 2-3 times the resources the GC has? Please write in clearer terms unlike that post where you negate a paragraph using the next one.
