I'm worried, mainly because of Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop.

If they want to bring more core games to the Wii, fine, I'm all for that, but give us new games built for the Wii. All they are going to do with Dead Rising Wii is give us a version that looks nothing like the PS3/360 versions and probably sacrifices other things as well.

One is EA, the other is Capcom. What?

And yeah, Dead Rising is looking mightily crappy. I bet they only have interns working on it, I can't explain the videos I've seen in any other way.

Or it could be that's really the best the Wii can do with this scale. I'm actually going to address that in another thread. And the team are not interns. They are Capcom veterans, who've worked on plenty of games.

I'm pretty sure the Wii can handle non-broken animations and graphics at least at the level RE4 for the GC, neither of which Dead Rising has (not even close).

RE4 is a linear game, that never had more than 2 dozen enemies at one time. Dead Rising has massive areas with the Wii version having several dozen zombies in one area, even if not hundreds (unless you think the shots with floods of zombies on screen were faked). If the game used two to three times the resources of RE4, as the Wii has over the GC, then the game would look like RE4 easily.

It doesn't. It uses several times the resources.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
