JohnLucas was right!!

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

I don't see how the wii could of sold so much higher then what vgchartz had. The wii also bombed for Canada this week and there are no shortages up here, Along with no shortages in Pal regions.

Wow ,Nintendo sales were way higher than expected ,at least the Wii the DS sold a bit less than tracked .

PS3 has a good jump ,between US and Canada it did some 175K and in 4 weeks instead of the 5 weeks of June.

The 360 keeped its way ,maybe even selling slighty higher due to July being 4 weeks instead of 5 .

The PS2 keeps very strong numbers .

The PSP saw some decrease ,as expected due to the news of the new PSP slim for september .

So ,Wii undertracked ,PS3 and X360 allright ,PS2 a bit undertracked but not by much ,DS overtracked ...

Somebody make sure to tell ioi to change the, once again, inaccurate numbers to the correct ones. It starts to raise the question as to why you begin to release Press Releases when the weekly numbers, besides not being accurate sometimes, had the wrong console ahead of another for 4 weeks. (Forgot the 100k the wii is off by for july too).

At least the old numbers are mostly right since they are adjusted from the NPD and Media Create etc. I mean, ignoring the 20 times the 360 numbers were lowered, the 5 times the ps3 and few times the Wii numbers were changed.

Completed XBLA: 16 / 32
Completed Retail: 17 / 64
GS Completion %: 82.63%

Mm ,now that I see the PS3 numbers are almost spot on (4K of difference ) ,the Ps2 ones are exactly spot on ....and the 360 is somewhat undertracked with only 136K in vgchartz and 170K after NPD .

wow,

I expected PS3 to beat Xbox360 like all the VGchartz numbers were saying ...

wow,

Wii numbers, lol, just incredibly high !

Time to Work !

Not quite. Even at august 5, VGChartz numbers still had the 360 about 250-300K ahead.

By the way when was the price drop of the PS3 ?I remember it was one day before E3 and that was around 12 July if I remember well ....

Someone remember this ?

ssst, we just want him to be right!
