"I talked with their art director Matt Corso, and he confirmed sixteen player matches are in, as are friend codes."
im guessing this was just some random dude on gaf, i wouldnt believe any of it till its confirmed by HVS
Friend Codes might destroy this game's sales but I look forward to 16-person matches.
Pixel Art can be fun.
16 players is pretty good, thats the same as halo 3. Friend codes, meh, but should run flawlessly online neways.
Above I'm a proud Gran Turismo fan, not a Sony fanboy, and now a proud 360 owner, but sharing xbox live accts ATM
End of 2009 Predictions (made Jan 1, 2009): My predictions were pretty accurate, the 360 was over and the Wii was just under.
Wii: 65 mil (yea I'm crazy) 360: 35 mil (its getting there) PS3: 30 mil (the slim better do well)
End of 2010 Predictions (made Jan 7, 2010):
Wii: 81 mil 360: 47 mil PS3: 45 mil
I can live with friend codes, Mario Kart works fine. As long as Wii Speak always works with friends without any hassle, that is.
A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.
Friend Codes are no problem for me. What's the big deal?
3DS FC: 1306 6473 7511
Nintendod Network ID: xsorenx
Add me for Pokemon, New Leaf, and Fire Emblem, Mario Kart 8.
ah i hate friend codes, but im glad it has that much multilayer! awesome :)
If the online play is seamless, people will get over Friend Codes really fast.
