So the haters have changed their arguement from, "Killzone 2 will fail, Killzone 1 sucked lulz" , to " Killzone 2 is Overhyped" and "Sony paid them". Its funny watching them change their arguements to suit their cause. Just wait till "How many Killzone 2 sales were bundeled? Lulz" which of course if they said that they would be hypocrites as apparently "Killzone 2 Won't be a System seller"

Killzone 1 was labeled a Halo killer by a gaming journalist.  This thread is about Killzone 2.

Google Alan Wake if you want to see some unjustified hype.  We know nothing about the game and have been shown a one and a half minute pc based trailer without game play.  You can also search under Too Human, Halo 3, Gears of War 2, The Last Remnant, Huxley...  All of these games had plenty of pre-release hype.  Some of them lived up to it, and others did not.

Could be that Crazzyman said it to get a laugh...you never know.

It is like that thread a couple months ago that was about how 360 and Wii fans tend to be more civilized than PS3 fans. Seriously, a thread about how PS3 fans are the worst on VGChartz... -_-

Yes, of course, that's why it's unlikey.  A bunch of PS3 fans (not fanboys, mind you) and others feeling that this game or other PS3 games in general are too hyped.  Again, why would they make that up?  What could possibly create such a widespread concurrence but the truth of the matter?  Also, you mentioned that one side here as proof.  Proof of what? An absence of overhype?  How exactly is that proven, except by an absence of the contrary (an absence which I'm trying to fill).

Finally, and on a side note, I find it slightly ironic that no links within VGChartz have been given supporting the idea that this game received massive, widespread hatred (unless I just missed them).  Not that I doubt they could be found, mind you, it's just ironic it hasn't yet happened.

Overhype, not hype.  As Kantor said and many others felt in the thread link I provided, certain PS3 games have been prone to receive wild claims concerning quality (Halo-killer, as per Kantor), often well before that could even be evidenced.
