Not to add to the fire here, but here's a post of Kantor saying that many people here had claimed that KZ2 would be a Halo-killer.

Wtf? Was vgchartz even around when those posts about killzone 1 was made? Didn't you say that you haven't heard anyone saying those things(Well, I did heard. Those were all over internet just like Killzone 2 now. Its all hype,hype, more hype, trash talking, stupid predictions, more hype etc.). Isn't vgchartz forums only 2 years old or something? Yes, it will be fantastic. Yes, it has a good chance of being better than Halo. But that's not the point. The whole _ Killer phrase shouldn't be used until AFTER a game has been released".

His post wasn't hyping it.  My point was to show he thought others were.

Where is the link that proves that we here at VGChartz claimed these things? I don't give a rats ass about those other sites or if VGChartz is 2+ years old, that is completely irrelevant. YOU.CAN.NOT.ATTACK.PEOPLE.ON.VGCHARTZ.WITH.THINGS.THAT.PEOPLE.OUTSIDE.OF.VGCHARTZ.SAID! How hard is that to understand?

 

 

This month the anti-KZ2 crowd has come prepared with their "Rock-it Launchers". They scrounge up all the shit they can find, load it into their weapon and fire it at the PS3 crowd.

@appolose - Kantor didn't provide any links either. If either of you are able to provide this information, I will personally pm the posters and ask for an apology. Nobody wants to kill Halo.

He said "here", not SDF. In any case, why would a person who is obviously not biased against the game or the console make this up?  Not that I'm saying, of course, that this proves it %100, but I would think that it would lend at least some credibility to the claims of overhype of this game.

360 fans make their Halo Wars threads, I do not see relentless attacks and fabricated lies.

360 fans makes their Star Ocean 4 threads, I do not see relentless attacks and fabricated lies.

360 fans make their Alan Wake threads, I do not see relentless attacks and fabricates lies.

To be honest in quite a few of those threads I have seen PS3 fans like CGI, Spartan, myself, Darth, Seraphic, etc... saying good things about their games.

They make threads to hype their games, we leave it alone.

We make threads to hype our games, we get a shit storm of attacks.

Why? God forbid the PS3 gets a good game. -_-
