Forums - Gaming - Question about my HDTV

I've got a 32" Sharp Aquos 1080p TV, as well as a 360 with the dual composite/component cables and the HD cable for my PS3.  I set up the component cables in the proper slots, and i'm trying to get my HD game on, but its' resolution is only 480i.  I seem to have lost my instruction manual, unfortunately.

Does anyone with experience with this brand of TV have any tips on how to switch it to 1080p?

Thanks a lot.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Did you go into the Xbox's display setting? Also, do you have your HD cable set to HDTV?

Is it both the PS3 & 360 or just one of them. Either way do what madskillz says and go through the video setup for both consoles and they will both setup for the maximum resolution of your TV

Wow--that helped a lot, thanks. I thought I had set my cable to HD made, but apparently I was mistaken...
