Forums - Gaming - If Rockstar and Capcom were to leave the gaming industry, would you be sad?

I'd would. Especially if Rockstar left:.( (I grew up with GTA)

what other gaming companies would you hate to see leave?

by the way, I couldn't help making this thread after hearing about Ensemble Studios closing it's doors

EDIT: other companies I'd hate to see go:

Insomniac

Konami

SCE

They would probably have a fire sale of their existing IP's and Microsoft would probably get them so no.

Rockstar? Not for their games, but only because they one of few developers who actively provoke people with their games.

Capcom? I don't really know, though I guess so. They don't make a lot of games I have any interest in.

Developers I would feel sad about losing would be Criterion Games and ArenaNet. They make great games and they give them great support, and in general, developers could learn a bit from the ways these two developers have done things.

not after what capcom said yesterday. i don't like sell outs.
actually id be sad, i need my fill of Ace Attorney and RE.

I wouldn't like to see Rockstar go, Capcom could suck it tho.

 What did they say?

If Capcom left the industry, I'd be suicidal.

Capcom? Not really I mean it seems to me they're sellouts

R* hell yeah GTA is probably the best sandbox series of all time.

Not particularly. I mean, with Rockstar the only thing they have going for them is that they're British (the GTA/Manhunt arm, anyways) and DMC/Street Fighter are the only Capcom franchises that I'm particularly interested in.

As a Nintendo fanboy, i wouldn't care about Rockstar's departure, and i would have mixed feelings about it as a gamer in general (they do some great work that i personally don't care for but is good for gaming as a whole, but i hate how they act like shock djs.)

Capcom i would have mixed feelings about as a Nintendo fanboy (stupid cash-ins, but zomg MH3 and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom), and would be sad as a gamer

Basically my contradictions between the subjective me (my personal wants) and the objective me (seeing what is best for the community at large)

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
