I'd say it's partly that, and partly the fact that the ads were garbage that made no sense and wouldn't bring new people to the series.

The game is outpacing Uncharted, for example, and should sell over 3 million lifetime, putting it a little behind Resistance: Fall of Man.

KZ2 will outsell R2 with ease and be the first legitimate sony-published hit for the ps3 and possibly the last until gt5 is released.

Yeah, they are hits. I'm not sure about Siren though. Do we have sales figures on that?

Anyways, what he's saying has some merit here. The PS3 is the only console ever I believe that has a day and date multiplatform title as it's top seller. It's strange that Sony fans have not gotten behind a game they can call their own and propel it higher than GTA IV.

I hate R2. My friends didn't like it either. I always recommend CoD4/5 over it.

holidays ALWAYS work for a game cause of ***increased demand***. The same can be said about the other games being drowned out by each other but no, Gears 2 and Fable 2 flourished because of the holidays.

Killzone 2 will only have hardcore gamers buying it early..........but if it were the holidays, casuals might also buy it.

R2 had PLENTY advertising, I couldnt watch TV without seeing the little monk, ice queen and those 2 black people sayign "we must rise...........stand..............resist" and "when all the swords of humity must strike as ONE!!!!"

That ad is burned into my memory. It was advertised. It also had very favourable reviews and the fanboys did whatever they could to spread the word both on the forums and in public.

There is no excuse. Killzone 2 will again, have the non-holidays working against it cause again.......lack of demand in the post christmas season.

I would have to guess it outsells Resistance 2, but the real question is does it surpass the original Resistance (3.50 million and counting).

I think it will reach about 4.50-5.00 million and be the must have FPS on the PS3 just like Resistance was at launch.
