hey folks,

I was wondering if anyone else has been experiencing some major issues with browsers locking up while on this site, and having to end an unresponsive program.

This problem just started happening within the last week or two iirc, and seems to be getting worse, although totally random.

I have tried both internet explorer and firefox and both will lock up on this site.  I have the most updated version of both browsers and run ad-aware 08 and AVG regularly, so I'm at a loss for what this somewhat recent development is.

If anyone has also experienced these issues or just has a suggestion or explanation, i'd be much obliged.

Google chrome has no issues.. try that, if it's still a problem then perhaps its a hardware issue or a cookie issue (delete your temp internet files) or maybe a region specific issue..

Well, no lock up, but every ten or so minutes the site will refuse to respond. It'll just time out everytime I try to access something on the site. Ten minutes later it'll work again. Very annoying - makes it nigh on impossible to browse the forum.

yes there is a problem with this site i mention it in another thread and how to fix it i use firefox and wen it started locking up i hit ctrl alt and delete to find out that the firefox program was using 99% of my cpu usage only for VGC site though there are loads of add ons or scripts wen viewing VGC all of a sudden ive done wat i mention in that thread and have no problems with VGC now

U don't even need to forbid VGC just all the other add ons that come so u can still matain all of the sites features

I couldn't log on at all, this morning. At about noon, the site let me back in! I had to spend my free time on youtube, and watching the news on CNN!!

Nah, I'm fine. Well, my browser freezes fairly often anyway, as I'm running the Alpha code of Opera 10... but VGC doesn't cause anymore problems than any other site.

I get the same issue as BHR-3, with Firefox and Opera - but only on XP. On my Macbook Pro, no issues. Strange

Shes going very slow right now, takes a couple mins to load a page
