Forums - Sony - Killzone 2 has £2million advertising budget in the UK

Really good this is happening, the game has the potential to sell very nicely. R2 and Motorstorm: PR also going to be advertised, better late then never. :/

SHIT! Thats double what Uncharted had! I saw uncharted ads like every 5 mins.

KZ2 ads are going to be on constantly, in the UK.

If Sony is smart with the advertising then Killzone should see impressive UK sales.

Thats sweet.
Now we just need loads of north american ad's.

Great news, hopefully this should give the PS3 a kick in the UK, a market where shooters are really successful

I told people not to worry about Sony not advertising KZ 2. There's no way on earth they wouldn't let people know about it.

Interesting fact: the largest two advertisers in the UK are Procter and Gamble, and the UK Gov't.

on-topic: Hopefully some of that money will go to cinema adverts, they seem to be much more effective (anecdotal, of course) than standard TV ads.

"
With those games having been out since 2008, it may be seen as too little too late by many. It also shows that there's not a lot coming up from Sony worth promoting."

The article comments on the weakness of Sony re-advertising games that were released in the crowded christmas period. Please GTFO unkown site lol.

It also mentions another interesting thing , Killzone 2 is taking up half of Sony's marketing budget for the united kingdom . This is definetley a major release for them.

I know, it's going be one of Playstation's best shooters. They are going to advertise the crap out of it.

That's just for the UK?

I wonder what NA's will be like. Maybe that Superbowl ad ain't out of the question afterall. 0_o
