Taken from Capcom's Vice-President of Strategic Planning & Business Development:

"It did not sell 500K units or anywhere near it. I still don't understand where you're getting 500K.

To the best of my knowledge, the 300K figure quoted by IR included European orders from Nintendo who published the title on our behalf in that territory. Nor did it do the volume it did do at anywhere near frontline pricing (in the US anyway).

And what you think was a cheap game to make, wasn't. Great games almost never are."

This statement was a confirmation of what Capcom's Product Manager said at Gamedaily:

"The games business is filled with titles that people love that simply did not make money: Viewtiful Joe. Okami. Zack and Wiki."

geez they sound so angry. Seems like I shouldn't expect much originality coming from Capcom...at least not for a while =/

 Well er, you can expect even less if they only did originallity, and like, ran themselves into the ground.

Capcom does have great sales in the Resident Evil games on the Wii. Combine that with MH3 coming to the Wii, and I'd argue there is a good baseline for the Wii to expand it's share in new IPs from Capcom. Just don't expect them to be the kind of games that your interested in....They may be something along the lines of 'Monster Hunter Fitness Redux' or 'Breath of Fire - Fire Training'

I remember when I said that Zack & Wiki's 300k figure included european sales while others said I was wrong, though I gave in since they convinced me. It turns out I was right - unfortunate for Zack & Wiki.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

 He's not just a moderator, he's like the community manager or something. He's a full time employee with a proper salery and job and everything.

So er, more then a video game estimate site that has got things wrong on lots of occations?
