This is a rumor started by...well...me. It is NOT A CONFIRMATION OF ANY KIND. When i was on amazon.ca to see if they had the preorders for Devil Summoner 2, which was just officially announced for NA, I saw this:

Both Devil Summoner and Devil Suvivor get released? But why are they releasing the former in extremely limited quanities? Couldn't they make it possible to get the game without preordering it like Persona 4?

I could be wrong, but I think that the "extremely limited quantities" are for the first batch, which will include the doll with every copy.
After those are done, i think they'll print more

They more or less said that there would no gareentee that a reprint will be done unless demand is great enough.
