Does it matter? The Gamecube game is exactly the same and the Wiimakes won't come to the West. You can probably buy it for a few dollars. You only need a GC controller.  

@Benga.... the remake of REmake is coming to the west I think... at least Europe.

As it is though, just buy the GC version, unless of course you don't have a GC controller, in which case it would probably not cost much less buying the game and a controller than to buy the remake.

I never heard it's coming to the West, but you could be right.

Anyway, you should simply buy a GC controller, cause it allows you to play some magnificent GC exclusives like Windwaker, REmake, RE Zero, Tales of Symphonia, Eternal Darkness, Fire Emblem, Metroid Prime etc on Wii.
