From looking at his profile, it seems he posted it today.
My best guess is when he said that "Conduit is the most generic game" probably is what determined the ban. It may have been view as a bash against a game the person obviously hasn't played.

Don't people do that a lot around here?

in my short time here I get the impression that you can get banned for things that would be a slap on the wrist on Gamespot.com or G4TV.com.

Yes,  Yes they certainly do.

Yeah I dunno, seems like when people make threads about why people were banned they always end up locked and someone says take it up with the mods.

Lol, try youtube comments and gametrailers.com. It is one of the reasons I post on this site and not those but some bans are ridiculous.

Your question is not going to be answered here. It tends to be policy to not acknowledge or explain administrative decisions in a public forum. DKII and naz have explained multiple times that if you havee a problem, you take it to one of them. Trying to air this out in public like some kind of scandalous dirty laundry is going to bring the hammer down on you.

that was just yesterday, how is it old?

I'm in the US. Here, it's all within the same day but I could have sworn I read that post this afternoon and he got banned sometime tonight.

You consider a half a day a long time?

12 hours is pretty long to me considering the fact that mods must have seen the post multiple times before he suddenly got banned.

I... guess?  Different mods have different opinions on what's bannable it's as judgement call.   Anything short of 2 days is fair game if you ask me.

Often times people post shit at like 10PM that doesn't get noitced till 10 am.  So it's not ridiculious.

Really though, that does seem fairly tame considering some of the other stuff he's said before he should of been banned for.  Probably more of an "accumilations" type thing.
