If you play Mass Effect with GEForce 7100 (Integrated Graphics Card), it's going look and play like garbage.

Thank you Omac.  Good, so there are people on here with sense enough to understand and compare PC hardware and gaming performance.

Yes. He obviously understands all of this because he agrees with you.

And I guess you're the all knowing one since you've been a "System-Builder" for years. Lol.

Not all knowing.  Just more knowledgeable than a vast majority of people who are "gamers" like youself

And apparently I know more than someone who "works for the largest PC selling company in the world" and "builds/tests/designs systems" for 3 or more years now.

1280x720 is 720p resolution - thats what you get with XBOX most of the time. You just said that is what onboard is capable of with a PC on medium settings. Thats making my point.

nightsurge, you are only 20 years old. I highly doubt you can guarantee you have more experience then me or a vast majority of people in the industry. You just like to spout off and pretend you know it all. And building 15 computers a month, you think that experience compares with Dell?

But the 360 is capable of 1920x1080, that's 1080p resolution.  Onboard graphics are not capable of such a task when gaming.  Also, medium settings is no where near the quality when compared to Xbox 360's detail.  The Xbox 360 in comparison is like Max/High/Ultimate settings when compared to the medium settings onboard graphics can muster.  Also, that is only with certain games and certain onboard chips.  Older onboard chips like the 7100 and 6150 would struggle with medium settings on any new game, and probably wouldn't even make it to medium settings for a game like Crysis.

That's making my point.

well i guess we have the same point. You can play new games at medium settings on a $350 PC.

You are using percentages.  I am stating the fact that by shere NUMBERS the 360 has more games, and more higher rated games.  Not a higher "percentage" of well rated games.  The percentage doesn't matter if it still has more well rated games that people can buy.  Look at the wii, it has plenty of crap rated games and it still gets tons of software sales and has some well rated ones people buy.

I'm well aware of this.  When looking towards the future (Which is what most console buyers will do), the PS3 is going to provide more quality games going by the numbers than the Xbox 360.

But most people already own a PC from a few years ago, and to get a PC that will play on the same level as the 360 would cost an additional $100-150.

Check out the numbers from Dell or other places.  Most PC's are under2 years old. Certainly some Grandparent has a dinosaur from 1998,  but we're not even talking about that category of person.

Really?  People enjoy games with extremely jaggy visuals, flat surfaces with no details, etc. etc.?  That may be true for some, but not a majority.

You're absolutely right....It's practically unplayable and totally unenjoyable.

Ignorance is bliss..... or so I've heard.  Can you tell me what it's like from your personal experience?

I'm sorry.  I yield to the sage wisdom of the "System Builder".

There you go again, completely misreading things:

Not all knowing.  Just more knowledgeable than a vast majority of people who are "gamers" like youself

Did I ever say I competed with Dell?  I do not think so.  Dell is a manufacturer/company, afterall.  I am merely saying I have more experience than what I said in bold.  And building this many systems start to finish has given me more experience than the average factory worker at Dell.  Dell thrives by selling computers cheap, which means the graphics segment are considered last.  My systems are built for gamers, which means my systems can play all games at 1440x900 or higher resolution with maximum settings.

Dell thrives by catering to ALL computer users.

And that was actually the point you made that bothered me the most. You tried to assert that most people buy PCs at Wal Mart or Best Buy. and that my friend is VERY far from the truth. (even giving credit to wal mart/BB for the dells/hp's they sell and its not close)

Again, you are not a representation of the "majority" of console buyers.  They will not research future titles, and will merely walk into the store, see the greater 360 selection and lower price, and get that.

But most people already own a PC from a few years ago, and to get a PC that will play on the same level as the 360 would cost an additional $100-150.

That level of detail is unnacceptable.  It looks like it's being played on an original Xbox or PS2.  I'd never be happy with that since my 360 looks sooooo much better.

And thank you for finally yielding.  It's for the best, really.

And you keep saying this....You are not the norm.  You are far from the norm.  Most people (Without a next gen system already) don't have much other than the prior generation to go off of.   Most people are not as big of a graphics aficionado as yourself.  They just want to play a good game that is fun.  Games aren't all about the graphics.  The PC I listed would be able to play Mass Effect well enough that you will enjoy the game and certainly would give you a fun experience.
