Wasn't the point in the OP the same thing we've been talking about for... Two years? Great to find an real life example. Though, i'm not so sure am i happy seeing an Indy game on Wii, i mean i've played some before.

@Reasonable: What you apparently didn't take into account is, that Nintendos strategy is to drive PS360 into corner. It will eventually lead into very narrow variation in games.
And you also didn't take WiiWare into account when talking about PSN and XBLA. It's the same thing as with physical media games; Wii has the lowest costs and largest installbase in online users. Then again, we don't have that good information about how much games people are buying from each service.

Besides that, it seems to me your championing the release of mediocre games on the Wii because more uninformed people will buy them, leading to more mediocre games on the Wii. Well that's fantastic and I hope you're happy with that. Personally, I have always lived by the saying 'quality over quantity'. Yes, he is, I too would rather quantity of quality, does this personally affect you? Are your personalizing my uninformed selfs want for quantity and that I buy these mediocre games? Also, I don't think Japan only makes "mediocre games". There are some great developers in the east, and they're all focusing on Wii since gamepad consoles don't interest them.

I own a wii, and I've probobly bought more games than most on here, and its got a mediocre library.

Japanese game studios are cranking out a lot of shovelware.

It's not that they're into non gamepad whatever the fuck that means, seein as most wii games play just like a gamepad except with a bit of waggle, so its not like its totally different aside from say ten games that actually use the system well.  They just make for whatevers cheap and selling.  I'm shocked all of japan hasnt gone to just DS and cell phones, but thats where they seem to be goin.

I truly miss the japanese games of old. 

Also how are they all focusing on the wii?  konami and capcom to me are the kings of japan development since sega went to shit, and where do all their big games go?  360 and PS3.  Castlevania Judgement?  if thats their focus they can keep it.

Oh forgot square, they did make that shovelware wiiware game.  More focus.

I wish they were focusing on it a bit and making good games on it, but come on man.

I bought it, it's on my SD card now, I beat it too.

I feel like they made it in an afternoon and with a bit of time or depth put into it, it would have been a classic.

Thats soooooooooo funny that i could get banned for saying that about that game.  It had 5 minutes of gameplay in it.  It almost beat itself.
