In a translated interview on the Capcom Investor site, Head of Character Content Business, Toshihiro Tokumaru noted the upcoming Warner Bros. adaptation of Lost Planet, "will cost somewhere between 150 and 200 million dollars to make," when production begins. Once again, they picked Lost Planet. Not hating on the choice but maybe they should throw a few dollars at the travesty that is slowly becoming The Legend of Chun-Li. Please?"

Lost Planet is great choice as it has very easy to adapt cinematic like story. Plus a lot of food for amazing battle scenes.

Well let's hope it won't finish as Final Fantasy movie by Square :)

I don't think Lost Planet is that popular to make back the money they spent. They'd have to pull some serious magic then.

Why ? Non gamers won't even have to know it's based on game story.

And with 200 mln that's enough to make A class holywood movie which has good chance at actually being watchable unlike Max Payne and other movie licenses.

I hope that's a mistake and its between 150 and 200 million Yen o.O
