Yea i agree sony's PS3 is in bad shape. but software wise its doing reasonably well.. It is selling games much better in Europe while having smaller user base.. and it is also performing ok in other territories.. and for quite a few game publishers it is the top bread winner.... I haven't seen Downloadable content making any difference in sales so far... or should i say considerable difference in sales. But still we have ignorant writers and bloggers like the one below.

But not if they have a PS3.

Bethesda said this weekend they're only making new post-game content available to Xbox 360 and PC owners.

We don't know if Bethesda is in the middle of a spat with Sony (SNE), or if the company just realized it sells so many more copies for the X360 that the effort of PS3 development isn't worth it.

But this couldn't be worse news for Sony: The company pitches the PS3 as the premium device, but Microsoft's (MSFT) cheaper Xbox will deliver a far-superior experience of 2008's best game.

Flagging PS3 sales are one thing -- but game publishers abandoning the platform is something altogether more serious. Sony needs to turn the situation around for the PS3 fast.

on topic.    well I will say its become a surprising trend this generation to make extra content exclusive over games being exclusive. thought the xbox live, or having special versions come out later on the ps3 with more content. I do not see it as a bad sign yet, but if we were to start seeing things like burnout not getting updated on one console or another, or a slide updates for one plate form over another i might start to agree with the article. as it stands now though they do not have a point.

Fallout 3 was an abomination on ps3. They expected people to buy it? I've said this before and I'll repeat, Fallout 3 should have been a 360 exclusive. That way, fewer would have been suckered in to a bugfest and would've probably bought something like valkyria chronicles instead.

These devs look like they never wanted to make a ps3 version of the game. From the makers of Oblivion, this was disappointing to say the least.

This pretty silly. The chance for third parties to start committing less and less resources to the PS3 is certainly high, but so far there is little evidence of it happening in any dangerous degree. Much too early for an article of this tone.
