ACE Team, an independent video game developer based in Santiago, Chile, today announced that it will distribute Zeno Clash via Steam, Valve's digital distribution system and Direct2Drive, IGN's digital distribution marketplace in Spring 2009, for a value price of $20.00 USD. ACE Team has intentionally priced the game at only $20 in order to help give as many players as possible access to its debut title. Zeno Clash is a PC-based action/fighting game set in a punk fantasy world. The game is coming to Steam this Spring and the developer is also in the process of identifying a retail publisher.

"It's very important for us at ACE Team that Zeno Clash reaches a broad amount of consumers", said Andres Bordeu, Co-Founder of ACE Team. "We want everyone to be able to play our title and setting a low price for the high production value that the game packs seems like the best way to share our bizarre and intriguing world. I think people will be especially happy with the price during these hard times".

Zeno Clash is a story driven game that uniquely blends the first person genre with the fighting game genre. Players will play the role of Ghat, the son of an impressive hermaphrodite creature called Father-Mother, whose children form the most powerful clan in the city of Halstedom. Ghat must escape from his family and start an incredible journey with his female companion Deadra, who will aid him in the dangerous lands of Zenozoik.

Damn, I hope this comes to gamersgate eventually. A story Just be good though. I mean, the art style of the world is cool, so it needs a good story. And, I can imagine the gameplay getting a little repetitive without a good one.
I have one real complaint: I hope the music is better than the trailers' music.

Breakdown did it ok (er, for a console controller, heh)

Yeah, I was gonna mention that as the best one I have played.  Then again I haven't played many that had hand to hand combat.  Riddick had it, but it was painful.  Mirrors Edge had it but it was only passable.

I'm buying this one day 1, loved the design...
