Just a few of the big new ones. I have a HUGE collection of DVD and dont feel the need to buy blu-ray to replace them, just add to them.

My collection
Firefly - the complete series
Serenity
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles - Season 1
Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Independence Day
The Matrix Trilogy
---------------
It's the box sets that I'm gonna have trouble replacing. The BR versions of the Buffy Chosen Edition and Angel Redemption Edition are not going to be cheap. Not at all. Eventually I'm going to make the complete upgrade, but it's going to hurt my wallet.

Well Blu-ray Players so upscale nicely. Still you should consider upgrading your favorite titles at least.
Unfortunately for me most of my collection was all VHS so I basically had to since my house only has 1 VHS/DVD combo player and it has ate one VHS so far.

A lot of blank media snce I realized the Blu-Ray player in my new notebook is actually a Blu-Ray burner.

I have a question about Blu-Rays:
If I buy a old movie ie The terminator, would the picture really be that much better than the DVD's, would it be worth an extra 5$?

So sad. You could be buying off the VGChartz store, but I know you don't. Your a contributor to the site, you should know better

I bought The Dark Knight with a gift certificate that my brother in-law gave me for Christmas. I almost bought Wall-E, but I can't justify the expense. Especially since I have Netflix with Blu-Ray rental for like $15/month.

I didn't know having a PS2 made a difference in Blu-Ray buying habbits

read the reviews. Particularly the sections about the video quality. You can then decide for yourself if it is worth the upgrade.

Yeah, but I've been considering upgrading to the PS1 model--those discs can hold a whopping 700mb of data!

Sorry but they gave (The Fifth Element) 4 and a half stars out of 5 and lets be real.. even the box art of that movie looked photocopied from the DvD case. 2 out of 5 the Most. (I owned, returned it after the quality was weak)
They also gave (V For Vendetta) 4 out of 5, I would have given it a 3 at the most. (I own)
