If you're going to wash dishes, do yourself proud and work in a chinese restaurant.

If you didn't understand what I was saying halogamer why didn't you just ask? You sure you can handle military service? You're awfully sensitive and I don't think they're going to tip toe for your consideration in the military.

Anyways, the phrase has to do with the difficulty of washing dishes at a chinese restuaurant. It's thought to be the hardest dishes to wash. It works into what you're asking by advising you to not halfass it by joining the easiest service you can coast through and instead join the meanest, most badass service out there that would toughen you up the most and put you into some action.

Judging by your reaction to me though, I'll recant my original suggestion and instead recommend the Coast Guard.

Ouch, I have a buddy that was in the Coast Guard and he isn't soft. Just saying. Any service is going to challenge you, but yeah it's probably like this for toughness: Coast Guard

I'm not sayng someone in there is soft, but yeah it's traditionally known as the softest of the US military branches. Plus you've got to deal with drug smugglers and you know where they always hide the drugs. I wouldn't want to be the one putting on latex gloves and retrieve that bag of heroin. Ewwww...

Onyx you don't know me so you can shove your BS comments.

Hey you're the one assuming things here not me. My analogy was entirely positive and was meant to give you a boost to pick a tough branch. Only god knows what went through your head when you read it though.

Answer is still Marines. I'm biased because of my dad, uncle and grandpa though. I have tons of respect for them (not just because they're family).

I don't have any real knowledge of these things, but I heard somewhere that Coast Guard basic training is actually really tough.

As for the OP, what the hell is wrong with the Navy?

I have the most epic death scene ever in VGChartz Mafia.  Thanks WordsofWisdom!

My g-grandfather was a Seabee in WWII, my grandpa was a Pvt. in Korea, my father was Army Reserves, my Uncle was Marine, my sister's father was Seal Team 2 and 6 along with black ops (I will not discuss actions of the latter online due to ECHELON and NSA oversight). So I want to do something too.

Onyx, it was like telling me to work @ a McD's. That is what pissed me off.

In all seriousness Special Forces if you can. Those guys are amazing. Especially the New Zealand SAS.
