KZ2 still has more hype then all those combined.

DLC, a console RTS and a JRPG against a shooter on another console. I cannot see them competing, most definitely cannot see a JRPG, RTS and DLC impacting sales for a shooter and vice versa.

I think it's more of a matter of drowning out KZ2's ads.

It's important to note that the DLC is for a game in one of the biggest gaming franchises and the RTS bears the name of one of the biggest console franchises.

 thats not the point. The point is that 360 is offering 3 major game franchises in palce of Sonys 1. MS is saying:

"PS3 is offering you a shooter, something we have plenty of. However, were offring a sandbox game, a JRPG, and a RTS. Were offering 3 game experiences in place of PS3s one.......a experience that has been done to death (fps)."

Thats what this thread means. MS is saying they offer more then just another shooter. Add Stoked and Race Pro also in February and the 360 exclusive list dwarfs the PS3 list in Q1 09.

Not much more, and that's more likely due to the userbases in each respective region.

Japan is really the only region suspect to "system sellers" anyway.  Tales of Vesperia pushed quite a few 360s, despite not even breaking 200k in the region.  In NA and Europe, the only systems sellers we've seen this gen were GTAIV, MGS4, and Halo 3.

Resistence 2 was a hyped PS3 shooter that had the HOLIDAY sales boost, yet it still paled in comparison to Gears 2 or even Left 4 Dead.

What makes you think KZ2 will out do Resistence 2 sales WITHOUT the holiday sales rush?

Isn't Resident Evil getting released somewhere around there as well?

March 13 in NA/PAL, but in terms of ads it will probably also collide with KZ2.

I *think* Sony will be advertising Killzone 2 a bit more than Resistance 2. Just a hunch.

They have quite a bit more riding on the game, afterall.
