Forums - Sales - Does Activision hate money? (GH:Metallica release schedule)

Just checked by myself and yes they do, 60$ for 360/PS3 and 50$ for PS2/Wii. Seem they actually really like money, big surprise.

That's not a very good theory... Guitar Hero: WT for the Wii outsold the 360 version by almost 50% and the PS3 version by 114%.

Im so gonna download this game using napster. :)

In any case...Metallica is a big brand but they haven't been a force in metal music since early 90s. They should call it GH Metallica...and then include songs from all the current metal bands such as Children of Bodom, Slipknot, Trivium, Ammon Amarth...etc...hell even Megadeth...he he

The game will be released on the Wii will it not? Just long enough after for the multiple console owner to buy the most expensive version.

That looks a bit far fetched but could be right... However according to NPD only 2-3% of gamers are multi-console owners.

More than one next gen console, with 50 million PS2 sold in the US the big majority of gamer own one, thus most 360 and Ps3 owner probably own a PS2. What better way to make them buy the version that cost 10$ more?

Well you got me there.

I hate this 360/PS3 games price hike (the reason I never buy full-priced 360 games).

Yeah me neither, they drop in price pretty fast sometime and I am never really in a hurry to buy a game, plenty fish in the see and all that.

It makes no sense to me. Maybe Activision enjoys pissing people off.

I was already thinking of not buying anymore Guitar Hero games after the one I just bought. Maybe this is what pushes me over the line.
