Bioshock

I remember the Game Informer cover article on BS, I was sold on it then, and all of these great reviews have solidified that.

As for the rest, Halo is way over-rated. XBOX was my favorite system last gen, and I WAS NOT part of the Halo army. Just because some one finally figured out how to make an FPS NOT SUCK on a console, does not mean that its gold. Besides, the original Metroid Prime was a better story mode game, and you can go all the way back to Goldeneye for a better multiplayer experience.

PGR4 - racing game . . . no thank you, I'll keep my $60 please.

Blue Dragon - looks interesting, has gotten beat up on reviews. Not sure I could stomach another inventice, but ultimately mediocre JRPG. Besides, the art style is TOO Dragonball Z for my tastes.

Mass Effect was a very close second. I mean CLOSE. Bioware has done some excellent work, and I loved the KOTOR series. But, because I invested some 150+ hours into those, something new like Bioshock would have to win out, if I could only get one.

Oh yeah ???? so some one does something good it's crap ???? I mean yeah if someone does something cool it's gold... ie Wiimote is the first motion control to be cool that makes it gold.....

now you have to explain me how to compare metroid prime and halo.... because if you can then vould you compare gran turismo to mario kart after that, please I'd like to see that......

now you have to explain me how a goldeneye (i loved it but still) can be a better multi experience than halo????

and you don't have to praise goldeneye to me... my last consoles were N64 and dreamcast and my last FPS on consle was goldeneye..... I wen't back to consoles because of Halo and the multi experience... that reminded me goldeneye in better though....

now that it's not to your taste it's another thing... plastering it for no reason is stupid.... yeah halo is the best FPS on console so far all together.... find me any exemple (and please not goldeneye) to counter that.... and BS is missing the multiplayer to get there....

Mass Effect

I will go with Mass Effect. I'm in the mood for a sci-fi RPG. I played the demo of Bioshock and it was great but Mass Effect will give more play time. I'm just not sure if I will play Bioshock again once I beat it. I like long games or games with good replay value. Metroid is a must buy for me. I'm still torn with Bioshock. It might be a rental.

Halo 3

Holy **** I can't believe I'm not going to pick the game currently with a > 98 rating, but I have to go with Mass Effect.

My personal order is: Mass Effect, Halo 3, BioShock, Hal-Life Orange Box, Assassin's Creed.
Although it's scary how much the anticipation surrounding Assassin's Creed has fallen since E3...

We don't provide the 'easy to program for' console that they [developers] want, because 'easy to program for' means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so the question is what do you do for the rest of the nine and half years? It's a learning process. - SCEI president Kaz Hirai

It's a virus where you buy it and you play it with your friends and they're like, "Oh my God that's so cool, I'm gonna go buy it." So you stop playing it after two months, but they buy it and they stop playing it after two months but they've showed it to someone else who then go out and buy it and so on. Everyone I know bought one and nobody turns it on. - Epic Games president Mike Capps

We have a real culture of thrift. The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games. - Activision CEO Bobby Kotick

nah it's just that we have to many good game these year..... it still in my top 10 games for the next 6 months and I think it's the case of a lot of people (one plateform considered a t a time of course)

Halo 3 for me, but I played the demo and went and pre-ordered Bioshock immediately.  So yeah halo 3

People who dunno about Mass Effect and own 360s should really really look it up, it is probably the single game that is most likely to be a generation defining game (if it matches its promises) on any console.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!
