It depends on what your expectations were/have been...pretty much like any other system.

As the leader system it is, YES. It still need 3rd party support, but it is already coming, in his third year, just the same case the NintendoDS. the Wii is a console that was borned very little and weak and will end being big and strong. Everybody will want to have one, harcore included (Monter Hunter 3, Dragon Quest X, Next Zelda, posible GTA exclusive .... ).

wow so 44% of wii games sales are on the top 10 games, which are all first party except for Mario and Sonic at olympics and guitar hero.

the other 56% are spread across the other 400. haha I find this laughable.

well to b honest the wii is an awesome system and is revolutionary BUT developers (exept from nintendo) sucks making games for it or they r to lazy or not smart enough to make a good game
I'm hoping for that to change
Cuz that system is alive thanks to nintendo franchise

The whole premise of the article is that games on the Wii have lower critical scores.

This is a very old argument.

And isn't it ironic who starts the complaining -- a publisher whose current game is faring well with neither the critics or the public.

Seriously - how many 3rd party Wii games that have deserved any success actually failed? Only Okami that I can think of, and that was a port that received next to no marketing and thus whose failure I would say is the responsibility of Capcom rather than the Wii audience. Those 3rd party titles that have actually deserved to sell well (and let's be honest, there really haven't been that many: NMH, Z+W, de Blob, a few of the EA Sports titles, CoD:WaW and possibly Elebits are the only retail examples other than Okami that immediately spring to mind) have turned a profit sufficient to have sequels announced. So what if most of the tat that 3rd parties have shat out on the Wii have failed? Good, in fact.

Yes, you are right, third party have not even given an opportunity to Wii, they still have no proof that high quality games doesn't sell on the system. Ok, let's take Japan out, they are very special.
