Well ok some... since we're including Canada and South America, but PS3 is weakest in those two areas.

So i can't see PS3 growth being that low.

Well, I think there's a good chance the PS3 will sell around that. It's currently tracking between the GC and Xbox in America, look how they performed:

The GC already began declining in its 3rd year, due to lack of games / price cuts. While I don't expect PS3 sales to dip that low, note that even the Xbox barely did 4mil in the US during its peak year, when Halo 2 came out.

It really all depends on Sony's moves - the games (GoW3, GT5), the marketing, the price cuts. Of course, there's also the competition - Microsoft can further cut into the PS3 sales, if they wish. If there is no price cut, I expect a decline from last year.

thekitchensink, you are right, Nintendo isn´t i competiton with Sony, but just take from them Monster Hunter 3 and Dragon Quest X (IX for DS), Madworld, house of dead and many others games could be developed for PS3, but the bad numbers don´t forgive.

Sexophonehero, i agree, the games released this year are going to push the sales, maybe more than the past.

the main reasons wii is kickn ass is due to its price it has sum gd games. but i dont think its going to steal sales from ps3.
its starting to get very boring these threads

Man I must get job as an analyst for someone - those guys must be making crapload of money for talking whatever they want and noone in the media cares if this have any credibility.

His sig is a play on a recurring theme that has popped up. Mostly threads starting with: [insert game here] will sell a bajillion PS3's. Just look at the KZ2 hype threads now. The same were around for LBP, GTA etc... and they always fell short.

The price-argument for wii has also been debunked alot now.

On the thread... well, do we still take any notes form analysts? Apart from the fact that he predicts a massive regression in growth from previous year (a regression in growth is possible, but nog by so much) we can safely assume that when sales drop, at least MS and Nintendo will push strategies that ensure further growth.
