I just wanted to tell every one how happy I am with Sonys customer service! I got a ps3 2 months ago and after a month and 1 week the disk drive broke (I was so mad!), and although it took me forever to track down the customer service number I finaly got onto them! And the lady on the phone was so pleasent, she really sounded like she wanted to take good care of my baby ps3 :D! She told me all the little intimate details of what will happen to it and where it will go as if i were the parent of a child who was getting an operation. And then I found out Sony is going to tell me when my ps3 arives and then finishes going under the knife, so I can keep track of it though the entire process! Now that is a company who is in touch with the owners of this system!

Any way I feel good about my broken ps3 now and I cant wait to get it back! From that one experience it's changed my whole perception of sony from the media and I just want to tell all you long time sony fan boys that I'm very impressed with the company you've chosen to follow in the console war! :D

I've had 2 experiences with Sony's customer service this gen, both very positive.

They're nice when it's two months and a week but they'll tell you to screw yourself if it's a year and a week (as one coworker found out).

But good to hear you had a good experience, customer service is always a super important thing.



#1 Reason why I left Sony during PS1 era would be the $150 bill on the overheating/skipping issue on the first generation of PS1. The warranty just went out and it may have only been a 6 month back then. I fed up with it at the time and got a new console back for $150 but it always left a tainted view towards them.

Good to hear they treated you nice. Least you still had warranty on it!



Good to hear--if there's one thing Sony (usually) does right, it's customer service.

I ah a problem with my fans being too loud. I had my system back in 3 days. Very easy to deal with.
