I don't know about Starcraft 2.

It takes 4 reviews of "STARCRAFT 2 = awesome, I give it a 95%"

to match each

"Feels like an expansion to the original Starcraft - it certainly does not feel worth the 10 years or so between the games I rate it 70%"

To answer ur question through ... Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box ... will be the first 90+ average game.

House of the dead overkill might have a shot. Comes on feb 9th I believe. Little kings story is in Feb too.

Street Fighter IV or Fear 2.

FEAR could probably do it...omg playing the demo....I'M SO SCARED...even playing with the lights on...if it doesn't achieve AAA rating....then killzone 2 would be the first one

Metacritic or Gamerankings average is suspect. All it takes is some weird reviewers to knock down a game out of the 90s. An example of this was one review that game The Operational Art of War, one of the best computer wargames EVER made a score in the 40s or lower, because the reviewer felt the need to be on a mission to destroy the genre of computer wargames.

The best thing to do is get a handful of reviews by sites you trust and base your decision on that, not the entire Internet. Take a title like Killzone 2. Sony fans will look to hype it up as THE BEST FPS EVER! While you will get Microsoft fans trying to rip it a new one.

Anyhow, my take on the list above is that, merely because of when they are released, Street Fighter 4 and FEAR 2 have definite shots of pulling in around 90. Killzone 2 is favorable to be there also, but need to have people actually get their hands on it.
