Does everything have to be damage control lately?  Like seriously I hear that everyday now, Sony damage control, Nintendo damage control, it's a bit overused lol

Okay, I thesaurused a new line, "destruction ascendancy". That one better?

Seems like IGN has a personality disorder or something....so which is it, casual gaming is saving the industry or destroying it? Make up your minds already...not that it matters anymore since most sane gamers don't respect gaming journalism anymore...

Explanation of sig:

I am a Pakistani.....my name is Dan....how hard is that? (Don't ask about the 101...apparantely there are more of me out there....)

Wait, so "short-burst game concepts" are now "casual gaming"?

Or is it "simple, customizable and intuitive"?

And how do you write an article about gaming and say anyone who plays them is a "non-gamer"?

IGN, you're a good source for new info., but damned if your editorials don't suck.

Glad to see you're eager to get banned yet again. Don't worry mate, we're all rooting for you on this one.

I believe it's called playing to both sides, you have angry fanboys saying casual gaming is destroying video games so you make an article that says that, and people cheer for your site, but then the other side says casual gaming and Wii saved the industry so you make an article to play to them as well, that way you're popular and no one knows what fucking opinion you really have :)

Wait wait wait wait wait. Brain Training is one of the worst offenders in casual gaming, and yet is praised as one of the Touch Generations that are great for the industry? Wow, just wow. It is even the same author saying it. This isn't playing both sides of the field. This is trying to appease fanboys and possible damage control because the last article was so god awful.

Casual gaming isn't saving the industry, it IS the industry, and has been since the beginning.

There's some truth in that statement, consoles were a big leap to go more casual gaming route, then PS1 was the big jump into getting the mainstream masses into gaming, those people that never played a game before.  Games that were considdered very casual at the time of SNES like the madden series hit record sales when the PS1 came along and brought it's new crowd of gamers with it.
