Forums - Nintendo - This Year - Nintendo + Sega = Win???

I also saw the rumours about Mario & Sonic @ the Olympic Winter games. Sonic and Mario on a snowboard = uberwin. Mario and Sonic playing icehockey = *faints*

From the profits Sega can fund the Conduit 1-5.

The Winter games has to be the best premise for a balance board title and throw Mario and sonic into the mix and it just wont stop selling.

As a former sega fan Im not super pleased.. I just dont want to be abused with crap like "olympic games".. if they made something special out of it.. good party games, platformers or racing titles. yes that is interesting.. SEGA needs the money right now thanks to sammy's crappy business outlook and wii seems to deliver very well for them

the conduit, madworld do look awesome. Now if only they'd publish "winter". It could be the wii's version of condemned :)

Making easily accessible sports games has been in Sega's blood for quite a while. It's not some phenomenon started with the Wii. Sega has made easily accessible volleyball and soccer games, and they have all been quality. Mario and Sonic isn't bad either, it just needed a little more polishing and maybe some tightening on the controls. If they can improve on that and throw some online in, it'll be a winning series when Winter Games is made. Even if it's not good, it's still good to have for the money so we can get our barely profitable Sega titles like Jet Set Radio and Panzer Dragoon.

It's like you're looking at a salivating cake and can't touch it.

so far i know the only sega games are developing are sonic games and house of the dead: overkill. Sega are only publishing the conduit and madworld for Wii.

360 PS3 sega's publishing Bayonetta and a shinji mikami game.
I'm looking at Ign upcoming xbox360 games and House of the Dead 4 is being released on the HD console. If you never played House of the dead 4 on the arcades back in 2005 the game was advanced for its time, finally Sega releasing it. Also their are more games that Sega is Publishing on the HD consoles. I'll just link one ( Im so anxious to play PoP now )

HD console + Sega = echelon gaming

I'm really liking Sega of late, not so much as a developer, but they've put out some great stuff this gen and not only on Wii.

Valkyria Chronicles is easily the best thing they've made since going third party and I'm really looking forward to MadWorld and Bayonetta.

The Wii needs gutsy publishers right now as it seems devs are more than willing to write the core games but it's the publishers that wont step up to the plate and take a punt.

Thats why Sega is going to play a pivotal role this year for the wii, i have no doubt they are also releasing some good titles for the HD consoles.

House of the Dead 4 on 360 is vaporware. It's been on the list for years and Sega hasn't commented on putting it on 360 since 2005, before the console was even released! Plus there is no lightgun for 360, meaning Sega will have to develop one and sell it. I doubt they'll do that. It would be more profitable to drop the graphics down a bit and release it on Wii. I guarantee if the game does come out, it's going to Wii. Sega is building their HOTD fanbase there now.

According to VGCharts HOTD 2 & 3 got more than 3 quarters of a million and HOTD overkill looks really good and I reckon it'll also hold it's own so it's not too far fetched of an idea.
