@Onyxmeth: Have any clue on why Jack and the others wind up in 77? It makes no sense to me.

I'm baffled myself simply because it seems only Jack, Hurley and Kate made it back there. That guy Caesar that was talking to lock mentioned the pilot going off with a man with the flight manifest. I'm guessing that man is Sayid, meaning for some reason Ben, Locke, Sayid and Frank all ended up with the crash victims. The only thing I can think of is that Jack, Kate and Hurley have all had visions regularly with visitors like Charlie, Claire and Christian Shepherd. Sayid, Ben and Frank don't seem to have them. Locke does but I don't have clue one what's going on with him. That all leaves Sun, but we don't know where she ended up. She could have been a crash victim or teleported to 1977.
It's a stretch, but that's why it's Lost. A week and a half can't come soon enough.
| Onyxmeth said: The only thing I don't like currently is that I felt Locke telling jack "bad things started to happen on the island" felt more dramatic when we heard it and the island jumping in time didn't really live up to his cryptic message. Small potatoes though. Lost is awesome. I wonder if we'll get any follow up as to what happened with the island group of Sawyer, Jin, Dan, Miles and Juliette in between Locke moving the island again and when Jin found Jack, Hurley and Kate in the lake. There's a lot of unanswered questions, untold scenarios, and plenty of timelines that weren't shown yet and I'd be pissed if time jumping is over and we never get to see the Black Rock getting there or what that four toed statue was. Time jumping was the perfect way to explain them. I have a feeling we'll get our answers though, since Jin was driving the VW bus in very good condition meaning it was from an older timeline and Jin was dressed in Dharma coveralls meaning he might be undercover at Dharma at the moment. It would be funny if time jumping stopped and it was the 1970's on the island. |
Onyxmeth, you totally called this right on the money. Time jumping stopped, it's the 1970's, we got some four toed statue goodness for a brief moment, the Black Rock is mentioned in passing by Sawyer, and we got our explanation on what happened in between Locke leaving and Kate, Jack and Hurley making it back.
Onyxmeth you are a smart cookie.
Fine Onyxmeth. A bunch of people that crashlanded on a strange island.
Either way, the show today is pretty damn far off from the show today.
I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.
That last episode was amazing!
Why did they take a two week break!
Wait? There wasn't a new episode last wednesday? Or is that starting now? Because I missed the episode on the 4th if there was one.
'LaFluer' was a pretty good episode. More character development and not disjointed like the previous episode. I'm glad that all the players (except Desmond) are on the island and the story will move straight forward now. Too bad no new episode this week.

Ben could very well be dead. Remember though that the island can do some wicked cool shit with dead people. Take John Locke and Christian Shepherd for example.
Great episode by the way. I was thoroughly hooked. Best season of Lost ever thus far. Not a single dull moment and not an episode wasted.
| PDF said: ^^ I would be happier with your scenario of the island doing weird shit but I will put money on him not being dead. Though remember they cant change anything. If it's going to happen it will as Daniel said. That is the best excuse for him not dying when getting shot like that at least imo. |
Right. Because nothing can be changed, Ben will come back to life. The island will see to it. It brought Locke back on two seperate occasions and there's no reason to think it needs to be something idiotic like Ben miraculously making it through a shot to the heart from a trained killer. You need to remember that no one on Lost gets shot in the head. Libby, Ana Lucia and Shannon all got shot in the chest and never came back. They do this because showing a shot to the head is gruesome and unecessary for prime time network television.

But the bone poking out of Locke's leg is ok? That thing was disgusting.
Anyway, loved the episode. I felt like it was leading you on with the whole redemption theme, which made the final scene even more of a surprise. I'm wondering if Jack will operate on Ben again, in case he is alive. That would be pretty cool.
