Forums - Sony - Resistance 2...I'm not impressed

The Skull Kid will return shortly after Killzone 2's release. ^_^

It's very rare that I remove the Skull Kid for something else.  The only other time I've done so was for MGS4's release.

That's unfortunate.

Can't wait for his return. I feel like changing mine to support KZ2 as well lol.

A game he never played. He's just too excited that a ps3 game "failed" if only in his mind. How's that for personality?

Damn dude. You argued all of your arguments pretty well here...

I didn't play part 2 yet but during the 3 months that I owned a ps3 I bought the first one and I'd give that one 7.5/10.

Reading this makes me want to play this one now to see what they screwed up... :)

Just play Prey. All shall be revealed.

I did...Prey was really solid at first but then it gets repetitive. AI sucks too...good story tho.

Like the sun parting the mist. All was revealed, as he realized he just described a game he never played, in perfect detail.

lol...I am confused. Are you saying I never played Pray?

If so thank god for achievements :)

R2 is better than R1 in many ways, but it is a step back in just as many, in my opinion.

That pretty much sums it up..

And @shotgun - I forgot to mention it, but you're absolutely right.

Also didn't mention coop, which is fun..problem being, if I want to play this game with my girlfriend, we can't play coop..because coop is too hard with only 2 people.  We have to play online..and I've been having rediculous internet problems as of late, so playing online isn't really an option..so we basically can't play together.

I think the single-player campaign should still include offline coop as the same story, and online coop should be as it is at 2-8 players.

I also don't like how when we play coop, my girlfriends progress doesn't save because of a retarded design flaw where when she 'logs in' to the game, she isn't allowed to pick her profile, so her progress isn't saved.  So every time we play coop, she starts from scratch while I'm level whatever.  It frustrates her as much as it does me, and almost makes us not even want to play.

So its official then? Killzone 2 > R2.

Lol KZ2 will kill off the R franchinse. :D

Meh, it wasn't that bad. I actually thought it was very good.

The single player campaign was...underwhelming. Not BAD, but underwhelming. I expected a lot more.

The competitive multiplayer was very good, but nowhere near the quality of CoD4. It had action, and 60 player battles were great, but skirmish was a bit of a letdown. Gee, I didn't know "varied objectives" meant:

-Capture the beacon
-Capture the beacon
-Capture the beacon
-Assassinate this target!
-Capture the beacon
-Capture the beacon
-Capture the beacon
-Help this squad!
-Capture the beacon
-Capture the beacon

etc.

Where the game really shone, IMO, was the co-operative mode. It was fantastic. You needed to work together, use each player and class' strengths and weaknesses, and strategise. The levels and equipment keep things fresh.

I would give it around 8.8/10.

I hear the multiplayer is passable. I give it a 7.5/10. About as good as Prey.

You hear?  So you haven't actually played the game and you are giving it a score?  Go away.
