I did ... twice. I bought a gamecube for final fantasy crystal chronicles and then a DS for revenant wings. What about you? Do you regret?
No. When I plan on buying a console for one game, I usually do more reasearch in that console and there hasn't been once where I couldn't find other games I wanted to play. Now that game is probably the main reason why I bought the console, and wouldn't have bought it if the game wasn't there, but I usually find more games to play with it.

I originally wanted a wii for smash bros brawl, and it was the first system I got on launch. Then I started to see tons more games come along that I wanted, so it worked out perfect.
Support good third party games on wii. Buy games like house of the dead overkill, de blob, madworld, the conduit and boom blox.
Xbox360 for Tales of Vesperia.
PS3 for MGS4
PS3 for FFXIII....that was long ago.
