Forums - Sales - America up

wii is supply constrained but not nearly as bad as last year. ds is obviously supply constrained too. ps3 goes straight back to feeding at the bottom of the barrel. already at 50k. thats sad. i expect next week it'll be under 50k and stay there for a while (maybe till the price cut if that happens in march).

also wii got adjusted down again this week. between america and others it sold about .27 million this week and last week it was at 46.06 mil but now is only 46.21 so its down about 120k. about 35k was from last week getting adjusted down from 408k to about 370k.

end of '08 predictions: wii - 43 million,  360 - 25 million, ps3 - 20 million

Games I've beat recently: Super Mario Galaxy, Knights of the Old Republic, Shadow of the Collossus

nice we got these #'s so early 360 margin on outselling the ps3 this week might be 45k about 10k less than last week its days of outselling the ps3 are numbered

also something to ponder over the ps3 wit only 52k this week i have a feeling that we'll C some sub 35k a week #'s from it pretty soon that's going to make me feel

If you compare the last two weeks to the same time period last year, the ps3 is basically tracking the same.

Now Playing: The Witcher (PC)

Consoles Owned: NES, SNES, N64, PS1, PS2, Wii, Xbox 360, Game Boy, DS

oh okay. well i guess that just means its normal for the ps3 to be scrapping at the bottom of the barrel at the time of the year. that makes it seem worse.

Hmm, I'm wondering if they are going to launch the DSi sooner than I expected. These low DS numbers would make sense if they were trying to clear inventory. Perhaps it's cheaper to maintain one production line and they decided to kill the DS lite.

I think Wii and DS supply are somewhat constrained, Nintendo isn't all about mass production and flooding stores with systems- they are too conservative.

I also think we are also seeing the price power MS was talking about, they even said like 75% or some degree very high of a console sales are when they are at the price range they are now. PS3 is doing ok though, still 50k less then xbox is pretty big (bad big) considering how low all the consoles are this week.

What's wrong with the DS? Shortage?

OMG the DS is still without supply?
