r u serious? because FFVII looks better then the older ones the same humor cannot apply? What about the FF III and IV remakes? They were redone to give off a updated FFVII look. So r they worse for this? And VII's script was LEAGUES better then most FF scripts. Character development, plot twists, dynamic villainy with purpose, secrets galore....what did u want from this game?

It came out in my 'i hate everything' phase of life i must admit.  i judged it very harshly.

Its ok, just give FFVII another try, i assure u u will think of it differently. try going 4 the secret stuff too, like the ZACK flashback....made me cry :(

I have beat Chrono Trigger 10 times now.
It's way better than any FF.

There is nothing in a FF game that compares to the New game+ from Chrono Trigger.  The only RPG that I have played through more times then Chrono Trigger would be Fallout 1 and Fallout 2.

Im not hung up on graphics, just cus i thought metroids were bad in prime 3, dont mean i didnt play the shit out of it.

I will try it again with some rerelease or something (scaled down on ds or just as is on wii), just got so many ds rpgs goin on right now.

theres a few games from back then i retried and liked.  I may get into it after the new one, cus i'll prolly be in the mood again.  damn achievements makin me buy everything . . .
