The best I've played are Chrono Trigger, Golden Sun and Secret of Mana. I'm going to be buying Dragon Quest X and both the FFCC games for the Wii, so perhaps I shall have some additions to my favourites soon

I don't see why FF is held in such high regard. I'd take Skies of Arcadia over them any day. That's easily my favourite JRPG, but I haven't had the fortune of playing Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana or Mario RPG yet-I should have had chance to play them through by April.... So ask me again then?

You guys and your failing to see the best RPG series of all time isn't Final Fantasy it's Earthbound (Mother 1-3) and therefore the best non-FF RPG is Earthbound.
