Why exclude final fantasy? I don't even think a FF game would get the most votes

Golden sun for me is better than any final fantasy i have played. I don't even know why FF6 is so popular, i found 3 a lot better. So ye Golden sun.

Chrono Trigger. It had everything and it still feels fresh. :D
Heck! It's even released for the DS for God's sake!

Only here. The elistists here are not big fans of Final Fantasy but on nearly every other game site, it is the most popular.

And I'd say Valkyria Chronicles, Lost Odyssey, and Tales of Vesperia are all fantastic to me.

Probably Golden Sun, though I do like Skies of Arcadia quite a bit, too.

Is Earthbound included in the JRPG category, or is it so awesome that it can't be defined in any clear way? If so I'd probably throw my hat in with the Chrono Trigger crowd as the best, even if you did include all the Final Fantasies.

for me its XenoGears hands down. the second best for me would be Persona series I played 1,3, never finished part 2, currently playing 4

Lost Odyssey for me as well. What I love about the game mostly are the dream stories.

oh! And how could I forget Earthbound?! I'm ashamed.
