LOL. I smiled greatly here.

an amazing trailer...very epic. I have to wonder what was the games engine and what (if any) was CG. If this is all done by the engine then bravo sony. still dont wanna fork over $400 tho...
Oh for gods sake at least name the thread as Killzone 2 material.
You wasted 10 seconds of my life which i spent on reading about console fps (yuck!)

Indeed, it's not like anyone would want to live on that place, and it's a war of power... what better way to say you have power then to turn their whole planet into a parking lot, am I right|? |
OR.... they could have resources that can be gathered there. It's like asking "why would America bother sending in troops to a desert full of hostiles?"

I don't think so. The characters' movements and the face of the old man at the very beginning seems pretty much in-engine. Look at Metal Gear Solid 4, PS3's architecture is smooth like a pillow to render cinematics in-engine.
This is going to be a bloodbath.
I've got to get this game.

That was a really great opening, as has been said. Very well done cinematics, and the animations are top notch for the most part (apart from colonel Templar in the beginning, his eyes are just lifeless). Anyone else think Visari looks a bit like Gollum?
Regardless of what platform you like, nobody can deny that KZ2 is looking great. The only problem I think the game has is the name: Killzone. At least for me that's a bit off-putting, and I'd imagine it doesn't help a young gamer convince his/her parents to get the game. But that's a minor issue, really.

You realize people aren't going to listen to you right? It's just like telling people PS2 was weaker then Gamecube, or explaining in technical terms how Wii is more powerful then Xbox and people don't listen to logic, reason, or fact...
(I'll try my best to help you out here none the less) One of the easiest ways to tell that's CGI is how it has seamless scene transition, with no loading at all, I mrean really... going from in the base, to a ship, to space, etc. without loading any of those textures or anything... yeah...

I dont think it is CGI. Why? Well the blood that spatters, it just gived the impression it is in engine. Also the lip syning at the start, look closely you will notice that the cheeks and mouth are ever so slightly off. Sorry I think it's in engine.

It may use the game engine, but it's still pre-rendered, so effectively it's CGI
Never argue with idiots
They bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience
While it does look amazing, Crysis is FAR superior. You can shoot down eac and every branch, your bullet rounds all hit the water with the perfect effect. This is nothing bad against KZ2. Its got my money for sure
Ynwa.
