Lets just hope they learned from the first game and have dropped some of the bad ideas (wondering around in a swamp) but kept the great ones (like the fire fight in the park)

You realize people aren't going to listen to you right?  It's just like telling people PS2 was weaker then Gamecube, or explaining in technical terms how Wii is more powerful then Xbox and people don't listen to logic, reason, or fact...

But... but the Xbox is stronger than the Wii!

(I'll try my best to help you out here none the less) One of the easiest ways to tell that's CGI is how it has seamless scene transition, with no loading at all, I mrean really... going from in the base, to a ship, to space, etc. without loading any of those textures or anything... yeah...

I'm still waiting for a Gamecube game to look better than the best PS2 game.
