Who really wants this? :O
Why not encrypt and compress your backup data and use a service like this as a way to provide cheap off-site data storage for personal use? Encrypt and compress prevents anyone from understanding your data, and it provides a way to make sure you are able to back up information off your laptop or PC, in event your harddrive crashes, or there is a fire, or whatever.

That's a good idea. However, the whole reason the service is free is so they can data-mine as many customers as possible. If encryption becomes widespread, they may start charging for it.

More likely, only a few people use encryption and almost everyone gives away their private data to google, potentially resulting in some embarassing situations. Obviously google wants to sell derivatives of your information to 3rd parties, whether they be your interests, work patterns or similar.

Because if it was in off topic, I assume it wouldn't get as many views.
Live Mesh is pretty dang neat. It is a nice free way for me and my father to collaborate on our XNA game. Keeps our code and assets nice and synchronized.

There's your problem. If you looked outside the MS technologies, you would find LOTS of free and open-source distributed version control systems that weren't tied to MS platforms and languages and have far more features and much better speed. If you need the advantages of XNA as a virtual machine, use Java - it's far better supported.

Because I cannot deploy a Java game onto the 360. Also, Java is garbage for 3D graphics. Sure the managed DirectX is a tab bit slower than unmanaged, but the XNA framework makes development much much easier for a two man team. Plus I doubt I will tax the 360 hardware enough for the need of lower level APIs. Also, Live Mesh works great and it was quick and easy and I have already set everything up. Why would I need to look for something else. Also, I don't just use it for version control.
no thanks, i think i will keep my hard drive.
