Forums - Microsoft - No audio coming out of 360 connected to a hdtv through vga.

VGA doesn't carry audio. Period. There is no "audio out by the VGA cable". There's nothing wrong with your tv, theres nothing wrong with your 360.

Sorry had it confused with another cable,  well since you got the Sharp, you should seriously upgrade to an HDMI cable for the PS3.  And I'm sure your "infinite wealth" could handle getting an HDMI cable.

When you say vga do you mean the blue tipped cable that is commonly used for pc monitors or do you mean composite which is the yellow cable. The second one comes with the ps3

I believe composite is blue, green & red with no audio

Ok youd think the J man would figure that out since owning this cable for the last 6 months.

The problem is that once the tv is in the vga mode it is only accepting audio from the 3.5mm jack , the J man is asking is there a way to change options or the tv to use red/white audio.
