As you can see the 360 does sell alot more 3rd party games then the other two consoles combined.
So you can expect that the majority of the games will go to this system. The Wii will get its fair share, but I dont think the PS3 will be getting the exclusive games it once would have with its 3rd party sales. This has been shown true with Final Fantasy XIII.

PS360 are effectively one system, developement will begin with both systems in mind, porting across is less then 5% of developement costs and if you begin with both systems in mind on a multiplat engine there are no porting costs, albeit it may take slightly longer.

If we're going to look at this from a dev's point of view you really need to combine the PS360 sales, because they are for all intents and purposes one market now. It'd be equally fair to compare Wii and PS2, albeit we know that the PS2 market is becoming less and less relevent.

If anyone could be arsed do a Wii vs PS360 million sellers list... sounds like too much effort lol.

Considering the production cost of a Wii title is roughly one third of the average HD title, so Wii already looks the more promising console market.

Considering the Wii was released a year later and not expected to be anywhere near the marketleading console, I think the Wii will end up with the stronger 3rd party support. Especially considering lower dev costs plus a user base nearly greater than both HD consoles combined. Furthermore with economic conditions the way they are everything points to Nintendo's console.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

You see, the ps3 will continue to get 3rd party support if only because of the 360. The 360 sells 3rd party games but it doesn't have anywhere near ps2 marketshare. 3rd parties still need that userbase boost the ps3 provides to the 360. There are even the rare cases of 3rd party games that sell better on ps3 and cases where it's awfully close despite the difference in ps3 and 360 userbase.

As for the wii, that's where most want to end up succeeding eventually but success on the wii means innovation not the same formula of last gen + new graphics so it's not as easy to switch as people think.

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

Well as soon as these developers figure out how to make a new IP that sales they will bank on the Wii...
